Holiday Program and Show Entries

We have come to the end of another wonderfully creative and fun venture over this holiday period but that does not mean the end to our ongoing projects. From now until the first week of April we will be holding four-hour workshop days to create, finish off and perfect entries for the Yass Show.

This is an open invitation to all children from all of the Yass Valley who have an interest and can be dropped off and picked up. Sundays are our preferred workshop days but if you would like to discuss a different evening workshop date please feel free to contact me on 0423 771 304, leave a message and I shall return your call.

Thank you

A huge thank you to my Holiday Program helpers, these two wonderful ladies have given their time freely to help share my love of art and working with our youth. With arms wide open I say thank you to Margie Notaras and Taylor-Lea Miners both from Yass, without you both my days would be hectic and with the added creative additions we have once again succeeded to share the freedom of Art.

History in Bowning

We are still on the lookout for any information at all about our village, if you have a story to tell that has been passed down from generation to generation regarding the going’s on please contact me on 0423 771 304, leave a message and I shall return your call or I can come to you, we can put a piece together to share. Thank you.

Feed Back Please

I am asking community members how they would like to be notified when it comes to The Progress Association meeting dates. I am happy to do a letter box drop, email, Facebook post, notice at Edith’s Store, and a sign coming into Bowning near the oval. What is your preferred notification method and is there another option I have left out. I also think it is important that community members realise this is all for our community, families, elderly, children and not business, I have heard the confusion over this issue and find it frustrating. I don’t have a business and nor does Mark but we love our village and would like others who feel the same to come along and share ideas and help each other with different projects along the way. Please take the time to come along even if it is just to have a drink and say hi.

Australia Day

Celebrate Australia with family and friends at Coronation Park in Yass starting at 7am is the complimentary BBQ breakfast, official proceedings at 8am. There will be a jumping castle, music, face painting, Citizenship Ceremony and Australia Days Awards. (Reminder that the jumping castle is not in action while proceedings are underway.)

Keep Well To All
