Search underway for Yass man missing on property

BREAKING: Police and SES crews have launched a land, air and water search for a Yass man missing from a Reardons Lane property since yesterday morning.

Police diver units are preparing to search a dam close to where 60 year-old Leonard Watkinson had been working when he was last seen by his partner at 10am yesterday.

The couple had agreed to meet again for lunch at 1pm while she worked elsewhere on the property, however, he failed to return.

Mr Watkinson’s partner searched the property but was unable to locate him and called police at about 4pm yesterday afternoon.

Crews from PolAir, SES, NSW Ambulance Helicopter, Goulburn Police Rescue Squad, local police units and sniffer dogs scoured the property until 1.30am this morning, before suspending the search and resuming again at 8am this morning.
