A Brush with Poetry on this Sunday

By  |  0 Comments

ARTS: From riveting to riotous, Binalong’s next Brush with Poetry will be held on Sunday September 27, 1.30 for 2pm at the Mechanics Institute, Wellington Street, Binalong (note the changed address for this month only).

A shared mike session where anything can happen — poets and performers come from across the Southern Tablelands and Highlands, Canberra and Regions and neighbouring regions to perform at A Brush with Poetry.

Always bush poetry —humorous and sad; always contemporary poetry — a style and topic for every taste; sometimes Slam; often music and song.

Of course you don’t have to perform – just come along and cheer everyone on. Be moved; be entertained.

Enjoy the old world charm of Binalong’s blue stone Mechanics Institute. Bring your own refreshments and drinks – we’ll have the urn boiling and provide tea and coffee.

Everyone welcome. Appropriate donations appreciated.

A Brush with Poetry is a Binalong Arts Group Inc (BAG) event held on the last Sunday of odd months.

Next date: November 29 (back at the Black Swan).
