Barton Highway accident

A 22-year-old woman was taken to Yass Hospital with minor injuries after an accident on the Barton Highway at Murrumbateman.

Police said the woman reported feeling dizzy before veering off the road at about 8.25pm on Tuesday.

Her vehicle collided with a bus sign.

Drink driving

A 60-year-old man was charged with low range drink driving at 12.10pm on Sunday. He recorded a blood-alcohol level of 0.054 and will appear before Yass Local Court next month.

A 23-year-old man has been charged with low range drink driving after an accident on Good Hope Road at Good Hope.

He was uninjured.

His breath test returned a positive reading of 0.076. He will appear in Yass Local Court next month.

$550 fine for ignoring pub eviction

An 18-year-old man has been fined $500 for failing to leave a licensed premises when directed to by police.

The pub patron was asked to leave the hotel on January 17 but returned a short time later to continue drinking.

Drug charge

A 26-year-old Yass man has been charged with possessing 1.5 grams of cannabis. Police stopped him during a routine patrol as he was walking on Janaury 12. He will appear before Yass Local Court next month.

High school damage

Offender/s have broken into Yass High School during the school holiday period.

Police said they gained access by opening a window, but did not appear to have stolen anything. An egg had been thrown at the canteen and office area.

Fruit net theft

A large fruit tree net has been stolen from a property on Hereford Drive in Murrumbateman between Friday and Saturday.
