ARTS: Sculpture in the Paddock will go ahead as planned this year after a brazier auction raised well above that which the organisers had hoped for.

Sculpture in the Paddock organiser Al Phemister said 16 outdoor wood fires sold on Saturday evening, raising $5000 to help fund the popular exhibition.

About 250 visitors enjoyed the brazier auction at Cooma Cottage, with Stu Williams performing Master of Ceremony duties, Col Medway auctioneering and Chad Crocker performing live entertainment.

Braziers were crafted from recycled and donated materials.
